Martha Willis Breeden was a Tucson-based painter, active in the last half of the 20th century. She worked out of a home studio and her work appeared in galleries and shows from the 1960’s through the 1990’s. She has always had a modest public profile in the art world, but she has admirers around the country and internationally. Her body of work includes three unique stylistic phases,
including early expressionist still life paintings, figurative paintings of mostly women from the 1960’s on, and abstract hard edge paintings starting in the 1970’s.
