Bernhard Rohne
(1944-) German Canadian Artist and Designer
Bernhard Rohne, known for his furniture designs, sculpture, and wall panels, was born in Peine, Germany in 1944. He emigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1967 where he continues to live and work. Rohne sculpts with brass, copper and other metals, which are acid-etched, oxidized, and hand-finished to a beautiful abstract effect. Starting in the 1970’s Rohne paired with the furniture manufacture Mastercraft to design case goods incorporating his metal panel artworks. The
